SymLiv
R2 took SymLiv's proven MVP from 1 to N—building four role-specific web and mobile apps for residents and officers, integrating the license-plate cameras, access-control panels, and hospitality systems already installed at communities, and standing up the event-driven infrastructure to run it all reliably at scale.
Highlights
Scaled a community access & visitor-management platform from a single-community MVP to a multi-tenant product ready to scale.
Problem
Goal
SymLiv's MVP validated software-defined access control for a single gated community, but a generic interface with no ties to the physical hardware couldn't scale to communities nationwide—where a gate that fails to open is felt immediately.
Solution
How we solved it
Built four role-specific apps on a shared multi-tenant core, wired to the physical world through LPR, access-control, traffic, and hospitality integrations, all running on an event-driven Kafka backbone with managed hosting, Elastic Cloud observability, Slack alerting, and an Expo release pipeline.
